Birdseeds Remain Strong
PANAMA - May 20/22 - SNS -- North American birdseed markets maintained a relatively firm tone through the past week.
Spot markets for both canaryseed and oil type sunflower were nominally higher, reflecting tightening supplies for both products, while white proso millet was relatively steady.
Seeding delays had some psychological impact on markets because this will delay the harvest and possibly constrain opening season movement during the coming marketing year.
