Spot Mustard Markets Weaken

PANAMA - May 20/22 - SNS -- Mustard seed markets weakened during the past week for old crop product, while new crop was mostly steady.

The biggest week over week decline was registered in brown mustard, with upper raneg for bids for farmers dressed product delivered processing plants dropping 13% from CDN $2.30 per pound to $2.01.

Oriental mustard suffered the next largest drop with the nest bids available to growers falling 9% to $1.01 per pound while yellow fell 5% to $1.91.
