Mixed Week For Chickpeas
PANAMA - May 6/22 - SNS -- International chickpea markets were somewhat mixed on the week, with desi types easing and kabuli unchanged to firmer.
Australian desi chickpea have been volatile, with values escalating when export shipments are being completed and easing while shippers wait for the next round of shipments.
Overall movement from the country has been disappointing, reflecting logistical issues and a sharp reduction in demand from Pakistan.
