U.S. Bean Harvest 57% Complete

WASHINGTON - Sep 20/21 - SNS -- This year's dry edible bean harvest in the United States is now 56% complete, compared to 41% at this time last year and the recent five year average of roughly 34%.

Bean and chickpea harvest activity is entering its final stages in Montana and Washington, while passing the mid point in Minnesota and North Dakota.

The last crop production estimates from the USDA suggest at this level of progress around 611,000 metric tons (MT) of new crop beans are now in the bin, compared to 649,000 last year and the recent five year average of around 424,000.
