Field Pea Imports By Spain Maintain Solid Performance
PANAMA - Sep 20/21 - SNS -- At this point in this calendar year continued their firmer tone, with field pea imports for Spain posted massive increases, rising relative to the previous month in July, judging from official trade statistics from Eurostat.
Imports totalled 625 metric tons (MT) for the month, up 265% from the 171 MT shipped the previous month. Imports so far total 42,351 MT, versus 28,946 in the same period the previous calendar year.
France was the most important shipper during the month, shipping 578 MT. China was the second most important origin supplying 22 MT, followed by United States at 22 MT.
