Lentil Exports From Canada Post Improved Result

PANAMA - Jun 12/21 - SNS -- Exports of lentils from Canada made modest gains, rising relative to the previous month in April, the latest data from Statistics Canada reports.

Shipments during the month totalled 180,661 metric tons (MT), up from 170,635 MT the previous month. This increased movement so far during the marketing year to 1,773,718, unchanged last year.

Turkey was the most important consumer, receiving 46,765 MT. India was the second most important consumer buying 41,918 MT, followed by Pakistan at 13,714 MT.
