Canada's Green Lentil Exports Post Slow Performance
PANAMA - Jun 12/21 - SNS -- Export shipments of green lentils for Canada fell relative to the previous month in April, available data from Statistics Canada shows.
Exports reached 21,449 metric tons (MT) for the month, down 36% from the 33,589 MT shipped the previous month. Movement so far total 332,822 MT, versus 287,360 in the same period the last marketing year.
The most recent movement data showed Colombia was largest consumer, buying 3,969 MT. Peru was the second most important importer taking 1,894 MT, followed by United Arab Emirates at 1,570 MT.
