Turkey's Lentil Exports Record A Firm Result

PANAMA - Jun 2/21 - SNS -- At this point in this calendar year posted a an improved result, with lentil exports from Turkey were up significantly, rising relative to the previous month in March, according to available data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT).

Exports reached 40,245 metric tons (MT) during the month, up 37% from the 29,463 MT shipped the previous month. Export sales so far total 90,895 MT, compared to 113,452 in the same period the previous calendar year.

Iraq was the most important importer during the month, buying 13,044 MT. Sudan was the second most important destination taking 4,320 MT, followed by Syria at 2,656 MT.
