Field Pea Exports From Russia Start With Strong Tone
PANAMA - Jun 2/21 - SNS -- Russia's export shipments of field peas during March showed major gains, soaring compared to the previous month, according to data from Federal Customs Service of Russia.
Shipments during the month reached 66,753 metric tons (MT), up from 40,805 MT the previous month. This boosted exports so far during the calendar year to 138,589, up 11% last year.
For the month, Pakistan was the biggest buyer, receiving 25,408 MT. Turkey was the second most important importer receiving 23,841 MT, followed by Italy at 4,641 MT.
