Green Lentil Exports From Canada Start With Firm Note
PANAMA - May 4/21 - SNS -- Canada's exports of green lentils in March made significant advances, moving upward versus the previous month, judging from data from Statistics Canada.
Movement totalled 33,849 metric tons (MT) for the month, up 44% from the 23,463 MT exported the previous month. Movement so far total 311,633 MT, versus 244,441 in the same period the last marketing year.
United Arab Emirates was the most important buyer for the month, taking 4,637 MT. Algeria was the second most important consumer taking 4,279 MT, followed by Peru at 4,105 MT.
