Turkey's Lentil Exports Post A Strong Performance
PANAMA - Apr 28/21 - SNS -- Export shipments of lentils for Turkey jumped relative to the previous month in February, official data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) reveals.
Export sales reached 29,261 metric tons (MT) for the month, up 37% from the 21,389 MT exported the previous month. Exports so far total 50,650 MT, versus 69,260 in the same period the last calendar year.
Current movement data reported Iraq was top destination, receiving 9,432 MT in the month. Sudan was the second most important consumer buying 3,710 MT, followed by Syria at 2,482 MT.
