Sunflower Seed Imports By Turkey Post A Firm Result
PANAMA - Apr 28/21 - SNS -- Imports of sunflower seeds for Turkey made modest gains, rising versus the previous month in February, official trade data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) reveals.
Imports reached 111,249 metric tons (MT) during the month, up 9% from the 102,441 MT exported the previous month. Imports so far total 213,690 MT, compared to 273,376 during the previous calendar year.
Bulgaria was the top shipper during the month, selling 37,408 MT. Romania was the second most important origin selling 27,322 MT, followed by Ukraine at 20,723 MT.
