Dry Beans Modestly Firmer

PANAMA - Apr 16/21 - SNS -- North American dry edible bean markets finished the week's trading on a somewhat firmer tone against tightening supplies of some classes of colored beans.

As a result, the dry edible bean price index for the United States gained 0.4 points on the week to finish at 88.4.

By contrast, the global pulse price index eased 0.2 points to close at 88.9 and the Canadian index managed a 0.2 point gain to finish at 87.8 points.
