Little Change in Dry Beans

PANAMA - Apr 9/21 - SNS -- International dry edible bean markets were little changed in seasonally light trading activity during the past week.

In some cases, the focus of end users is switching to new crop shipping positions, but with North American production expected to decline if farmers stick with their seeding intentions, buyers may not see significant changes in asking prices.

As a result, the dry edible bean price index for the United States slipped 0.3 points on the week to finish at 87.6. By contrast, the global pulse price index gained 0.2 points to close at 89.1 and the Canadian index was unchanged, finishing at 87.6 points.
