Canada's Green Lentil Exports Record Weak Opening
PANAMA - Apr 7/21 - SNS -- So far during this marketing year recordedan easier month, with green lentil shipments for Canada were slightly lower, falling compared to the previous month in February, according to the latest statistics from Statistics Canada.
Exports totalled 23,463 metric tons (MT) in the month, down 12% from the 26,777 MT shipped the previous month. Movement so far total 277,784 MT, compared to 213,369 in the same period the last marketing year.
Recent trade statistics reported Algeria was biggest consumer, taking 4,114 MT in the month. Mexico was the second most important importer taking 2,174 MT, followed by China at 2,025 MT.
