WASHINGTON - Mar 31/21 - SNS -- Growers in the United States intend to plant 400,000 acres of flaxseed in 2021, an increase of 31% from 2020 planted acres, according to the USDA.
Acreage in North Dakota, the largest flaxseed-producing State, is expected to be up 43%, or 85,000 acres from 2020. Acreage in Montana is expected to increase 10% from the previous year.
