Chickpea Still Anxious About Large Caliber

PANAMA - Mar 12/21 - SNS -- Few changes were noted in international chickpea markets during the past week with offers from exporters remaining in balance with the short term needs of buyers.

Markets remain worried about available supplies of large caliber kabuli in the coming months, but anxious about an abundance of medium and small caliber product.

Demand from Pakistan continued to help values for Australian desi chickpeas, but whether that is also being expressed as interest in small caliber product from Russia and other origins remains unclear.
