Confection Sunflower Imports By Spain Maintain Weak Trend

PANAMA - Jan 15/21 - SNS -- Spain's imports of confection sunflowers in November fell sharply compared to the previous month, judging from data from Eurostat.

Total imports for the month amounted to 3,204 metric tons (MT), down 73% from the previous month's total of 11,904. So far imports have reached 219,893 MT, down from 229,178 in the same period the last calendar year.

The most important exporter throughout the month was China, shipping 1,964 MT. United States was the second most important shipper selling 663 MT, followed by Argentina at 404 MT.
