Canada's Field Pea Exports Record Weak Performance
PANAMA - Aug 5/20 - SNS -- At this point in the current marketing year recorded a weaker performance, with field pea movement for Canada posted significant declines, slumping compared to the previous month in June, judging from trade data from Statistics Canada.
Total movement throughout the month amounted to 300,337 metric tons (MT), down 25% from the previous month's total of 401,491. So far shipments have amounted to 3,612,555 MT, up from 2,976,653 in the same period the last marketing year.
The latest trade statistics reported China was number one importer, receiving 246,147 MT. Bangladesh was the second most important destination receiving 11,301 MT, followed by Colombia at 7,189 MT.
