Australia's Lentils Exports Reveal Soft Month
PANAMA - Aug 4/20 - SNS -- At this point in the current marketing year recorded a weaker month, with lentils shipments for Australia were slightly lower, falling compared to the previous month in June, according to official statistics from Australia Bureau of Statistics.
Total movement throughout the month reached 66,496 metric tons (MT), down 5% from the previous month's total of 70,060. So far exports have totalled 534,455 MT, up from 216,305 during the last marketing year.
Bangladesh was the most important destination, receiving 29,790 MT. India was the second most important destination taking 19,299 MT, followed by Sri Lanka at 5,793 MT.
