Yellow Leads Mustard Bids Higher

PANAMA - Jul 17/20 - SNS -- Mustard seed markets finished the week's trading unchanged to firmer against worries about available supplies of some classes in the coming marketing year.

This saw prices paid to farmers advance for yellow mustard, while brown and oriental advanced in U.S. dollar terms because of modest gains in the value of the Canadian versus U.S. dollar.

Bids for No 1 Canada yellow increased 5% on the week ranging up to U.S. $666 per metric tons (MT), while brown and oriental finished around $504 and $439 MT respectively.
