Peanut Seedings Advance 6%

WASHINGTON - Jun 30/20 - SNS --This year's peanut area is estimated at 1.51 million acres in 2020, up 6% from 2019., according to the USDA's seeded area estimate for 2020.

Area for harvest is forecast at 1.47 million acres, up 6% from last year. In Georgia, the largest peanut-producing State, planted area is up 6% from 2019.
