Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jun 2/20 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A weak low pressure trough will move over the far south late this evening. A high pressure system over southern WA will move slowly eastwards to be over western Victoria by Thursday night. A weak cold front will move over southern coastal districts early Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayA slight to medium chance of showers about the agricultural areas and the west of the West Coast district, grading to a medium chance about the southern coasts and parts the Mount Lofty Ranges. Cool with light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds, fresh about the southern coasts tonight.Wednesday 3 JuneA slight chance of showers about coastal areas and parts of the Mount Lofty Ranges, more likely about eastern Eyre Peninsula coast. Early fog west of about Spencer Gulf. Possible early morning frost across the far north. Cool with light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds, tending east to northeasterly at times in the west.Thursday 4 JuneA cold morning with areas of frost and fog, then a cool day with light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds.Friday 5 June
Cold to very cold morning with widespread areas of frost and possible fog patches. Sunny inland with cloud developing in the south. A slight chance of showers developing over southern coasts in the evening. Cool with light southeast to northeasterly winds.
Saturday 6 June
A slight to medium chance of showers extending over southern agricultural areas during the morning. Cold morning inland with areas of frost and fog. Cool to cold, grading to cool to mild in the far northeast. Light south to southeasterly winds.
Cumulative rainfall totals to midnight Saturday are expected to be 2 to 10 mm over the southern coasts and southern Mount Lofty Ranges. Less than 2 mm over remaining parts of the southern agricultural area, grading to less than 1 mm over the northern agricultural area and the far south of the Pastoral districts.
Sunday until TuesdayShowers gradually easing and contracting southwards to the Lower South East coast by the end of the period. Cold to very cold mornings with areas of frost and possible fog. Cool days with light winds, becoming to moderate south to southeasterly, turning northeasterly in the west early next week.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Wednesday.Product IDS10033

BoM is upgrading its IT systems in South Australia on Tuesday 5 December 2017.
This will occur between 17:00 and 21:00 (ACDT).
Within this 4-hour window there will be an outage between 2.5 and 3.0 hours affecting observations from Automatic Weather Stations.
All South Australian forecast and warning services will continue to be monitored and updated through back up arrangements.
