Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jun 1/20 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A cold front which moved across the south of SA late Sunday and early Monday has moved over the eastern states. A high pressure system will develop over the Bight during Tuesday, then move slowly southeastwards. A cold front will move over southern coastal districts late Friday and early Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of MondayA high to very high chance of showers over the southern agricultural area and far southwest of the Flinders district, grading to a slight to medium chance of showers over the northern agricultural area and West Coast district, easing during the day. Possible small hail over central and eastern districts during the morning and early afternoon. Cool to cold with moderate west to southwesterly winds, fresh to strong and gusty about the agricultural area and eastern districts during the morning and early afternoon.Tuesday 2 JuneA slight to medium chance of showers about the northern agricultural areas and the west of the West Coast district, grading to a high to very high chance about the ranges and the southern agricultural area. Generally cool with light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds.Wednesday 3 JuneA slight to medium chance of showers about the southern agricultural area and near the west coast. Possible early fog about central and northern Eyre Peninsula. Cool with light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds, tending east to northeasterly at times in the west.Thursday 4 June
A slight to medium chance of showers about southern coasts. Possible morning fog about eastern Eyre Peninsula and the southeast. Early frost patches possible east of the ranges. Cool with light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds.
Cumulative rainfall totals to midnight Thursday are expected to be 2 to 5 mm over the southern agricultural area, the Murraylands district and far southwest of the Flinders district, increasing to 5 to 10 mm about southern coasts and the Mount Lofty Ranges. Less than 2 mm is expected over the northern agricultural area and West Coast district.
Friday until SundayA slight to medium chance of showers developing over southern coastal area and the South East districts, extending over the agricultural area on Saturday and increasing to a high chance about the southern coasts. Showers easing on Sunday. Cool to cold mornings with early frost patches over inland parts. Cool days with light winds, becoming to moderate south to southeasterly during the period.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CST Monday.Product IDS10033

BoM is upgrading its IT systems in South Australia on Tuesday 5 December 2017.
This will occur between 17:00 and 21:00 (ACDT).
Within this 4-hour window there will be an outage between 2.5 and 3.0 hours affecting observations from Automatic Weather Stations.
All South Australian forecast and warning services will continue to be monitored and updated through back up arrangements.
