Beans Optimistic About Demand

PANAMA - May 22/20 - SNS -- Dry edible bean markets finished the week's trading with increased optimism about demand prospect amid worries about yields and quality in Argentina.

This was reflected in the spot index for dry edible beans in the United States, which advanced 0.4 points to close the week at 166.7.

Easing Australian values because of reduced demand contributed to a 1.7 point drop in the global index to 154.9. On the other hand, the Canadian pulse prices index was unchanged on the week at 150.1.
