Lentil Exports From Canada Open On Strong Tone
PANAMA - May 5/20 - SNS -- Exports of lentils from Canada advanced relative to the previous month in March, recent data from Statistics Canada reports.
Total movement throughout the month reached 268,005 metric tons (MT), up 5% from the previous month's total of 254,089. So far export sales have amounted to 1,537,203 MT, up from 1,328,832 during the last marketing year.
Current movement data showed United Arab Emirates was largest consumer, receiving 61,795 MT during the month. Turkey was the second most important destination buying 47,819 MT, followed by India at 29,893 MT.
