Yellow Pea Exports From Canada Record Easy Performance
PANAMA - May 5/20 - SNS -- At this point in the current marketing year amanageda weaker result, with yellow pea exports from Canada fell compared to the previous month in March, judging from the most recent statistics from Statistics Canada.
Total export sales during the month amounted to 165,275 metric tons (MT), down 34% from the previous month's total of 248,754. So far shipments have amounted to 2,018,952 MT, up from 1,554,630 in the same period the previous marketing year.
China was the number one destination for the month, buying 113,171 MT. Bangladesh was the second most important buyer taking 25,653 MT, followed by Nepal at 14,181 MT.
