Modest Pea Seeding Progress
WASHINGTON - Apr 27/20 - SNS -- Farmers in the United States doubled the amount of this year's field pea crop now in the ground, but progress continues to lag last year and the previous five year average.
Seeding is furthest advanced in the U.S. Pacific Northwest, which was once the primary production area in the country. Progress in the region is running ahead of last year and the recent five year average
While seeding appears to well underway in Montana, North Dakota growers are only just getting into their fields.
