Lentil Exports From Canada Start On Strong Note
PANAMA - Mar 6/20 - SNS -- Opened the marketing year on their a firmer tendency, with lentil movement for Canada jumped relative to the previous month in January, judging from recent data from Statistics Canada.
Movement for the first month of the marketing year totalled 204,654 metric tons (MT), up 51% from 135,392 MT the previous month. The data revealed shipments was up 5% from the 967,557 MT reported during the same month last year.
India was the most important destination for the month, buying 59,874 MT. Turkey was the second most important destination receiving 51,096 MT, followed by Pakistan at 14,106 MT.
