Australia's Chickpea Exports Open With Strong Tone
PANAMA - Mar 5/20 - SNS -- Australia's export shipments of chickpeas during January made minorincreases, advancing compared to the previous month, judging from data from Australia Bureau of Statistics.
The latest statistics showed exports for the month totalled 56,502 metric tons (MT), up 2% from 55,296 the previous month. Compared to the same month last year, movement are up 60% from 94,813 MT.
The most recent movement statistics showed Bangladesh was number one consumer, taking 36,801 MT. Pakistan was the second most important importer taking 13,073 MT, followed by United Arab Emirates at 3,939 MT.
