Canada's Green Pea Exports Maintain Easy Trend
PANAMA - Feb 5/20 - SNS -- Export shipments of green peas from Canada dropped relative to the previous month in December, recent data from Statistics Canada reports.
Export sales totalled 31,473 metric tons (MT) for the month, down 12% from the 35,589 MT exported the previous month. Movement so far total 125,018 MT, compared to 140,746 during the last marketing year.
In the month, India was the largest buyer, buying 9,639 MT. China was the second most important destination receiving 6,277 MT, followed by Nepal at 4,535 MT.
