Chickpea Imports By Pakistan Maintain Firm Tone
PANAMA - Feb 4/20 - SNS -- At this point in the calendar year are maintaining their firmer tone, with chickpea imports by Pakistan showed modest gains, advancing compared to the previous month in April, according to recent statistics from Pakistan Bureau of Statistics.
Total imports in the month amounted to 31,098 metric tons (MT), up 11% from the previous month's total of 27,931. So far imports have reached 129,768 MT, up from 128,312 during the last calendar year.
The number one shipper during the month was Russia, selling 13,388 MT. Canada was the second most important exporter selling 4,441 MT, followed by United States at 4,322 MT.
