Mixed Week in Chickpeas
PANAMA - Jan 31/20 - SNS -- International chickpea markets finished the week on a mixed note against diminished demand from the Indian subcontinent.
The main impact has been on export markets for desi chickpeas, which rely on that region to consume exportable surpluses.
The region has also bought more small caliber kabuli chickpeas and other pulses than initially expected, reflecting fundamental shortages in some net importing countries.
