Chickpea Exports From Australia Reveal Weak Month

PANAMA - Jan 9/20 - SNS -- Movement of chickpeas from Australia dropped compared to the previous month in November, trade data from Australia Bureau of Statistics reports.

Total movement in the month amounted to 41,546 metric tons (MT), down 12% from the previous month's total of 47,126. So far movement has reached 41,546 MT, up from 25,510 during the previous marketing year.

Bangladesh was the most important buyer, taking 19,703 MT. Pakistan was the second most important importer taking 13,253 MT, followed by United Arab Emirates at 3,436 MT.
