Canada's Lentil Exports Maintain Solid Trend

PANAMA - Jan 7/20 - SNS -- Canada's exports of lentils during November rose slightly versus the previous month, according to data from Statistics Canada.

Total exports in the month amounted to 156,315 metric tons (MT), up 19% from the previous month's total of 131,315. So far shipments have reached 674,931 MT, up from 588,260 during the last marketing year.

Turkey was the number one importer during the month, receiving 29,061 MT. China was the second most important importer buying 17,994 MT, followed by Bangladesh at 15,428 MT.
