Mung Bean Imports By India Continue Firm Trend
PANAMA - Dec 9/19 - SNS -- Imports of mung beans by India recorded major increases, soaring versus the previous month in July, available data from Directorate General of Commercial Intelligence & Statistics shows.
Imports reached 17,713 metric tons (MT) during the month, up 220% from the 5,537 MT exported the previous month. Imports so far total 139,260 MT, compared to 72,339 in the same period the previous calendar year.
Myanmar was the biggest exporter for the month, shipping 6,667 MT. Mozambique was the second most important origin selling 6,013 MT, followed by Tanzania at 3,166 MT.
