Kazakhstan's Sunflower Seed Exports Post Slow Performance
PANAMA - Dec 9/19 - SNS -- Kazakhstan's movement of sunflower seeds during August slipped compared to the previous month, according to data from The Agency of Statistics of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Shipments totalled 38,537 metric tons (MT) during the month, down 2% from the 39,453 MT shipped the previous month. Exports so far total 332,087 MT, compared to 210,604 in the same period the last calendar year.
The most recent trade data reported Uzbekistan was top consumer, receiving 29,460 MT. China was the second most important consumer taking 8,243 MT, followed by Tajikistan at 692 MT.
