Canada's Lentil Exports Reveal Easy Month
PANAMA - Dec 5/19 - SNS -- So far during the marketing year posted a easier performance, with lentil export shipments from Canada were well down, plunging compared to the previous month in October, according to trade data from Statistics Canada.
Movement for the month totalled 131,325 metric tons (MT), down from 272,705 MT the previous month. This boosted shipments so far during the marketing year to 518,626, up 14% last year.
The latest movement data revealed India was top consumer, receiving 32,240 MT. Turkey was the second most important destination receiving 28,407 MT, followed by Algeria at 8,401 MT.
