Mustard Maintains Firm Tone
PANAMA - Nov 29/19 - SNS -- North American mustard seed markets maintained their firm tone in seasonally light trade during the past week.
Grower bids for yellow and brown mustard were mostly unchanged, while oriental managed to advance 4% to almost U.S. $432 per metric ton (MT) for farmers dressed quality delivered western Canadian processing plants.
Markets were somewhat surprised by the quality break down from Saskatchewan Agriculture, with some processors questioning whether 90% of the crop is No 2 Canada or better, down from 99% last year.
