Pigeon Pea Imports By India Record Easy Month
PANAMA - Nov 13/19 - SNS -- Imports of pigeon peas for India shrank versus the previous month in April, official trade data from Directorate General of Commercial Intelligence & Statistics reveals.
Imports during the month reached 13,007 metric tons (MT), down from 41,826 MT the previous month. This increased imports so far during the calendar year to 146,244, up 112% last year.
During the month, Myanmar was the top origin, selling 5,118 MT. Mozambique was the second most important shipper supplying 3,480 MT, followed by Malawi at 3,225 MT.
