Lentil Imports By India Continue Solid Tone

PANAMA - Nov 13/19 - SNS -- India's imports of lentils in April rocketed versus the previous month, according to data from Directorate General of Commercial Intelligence & Statistics.

Imports reached 87,647 metric tons (MT) for the month, up 184% from the 30,818 MT shipped the previous month. Imports so far total 174,750 MT, versus 58,744 during the last calendar year.

For the month, Canada was the most important exporter, selling 66,493 MT. Australia was the second most important shipper shipping 15,498 MT, followed by United States at 3,584 MT.
