Canada's Field Pea Exports Sustain Solid Performance
PANAMA - Nov 5/19 - SNS -- Export shipments of field peas from Canada rose sharply, leaping relative to the previous month in September, data from Statistics Canada reveals.
Export sales for the month reached 555,100 metric tons (MT), up from 113,493 MT the previous month. This lifted movement so far during the marketing year to 668,593, up 20% last year.
The top buyer for the month was China, buying 477,539 MT. Cuba was the second most important importer receiving 28,500 MT, followed by United States at 11,920 MT.
