Green Lentil Exports From Canada Extend Soft Trend
PANAMA - Nov 5/19 - SNS -- At this point in the marketing year maintained their easier trend, with green lentil movement for Canada posted significant declines, slumping relative to the previous month in September, judging from official data from Statistics Canada.
Total export sales during the month reached 29,074 metric tons (MT), down 30% from the previous month's total of 41,346. So far export sales have amounted to 70,419 MT, down from 77,409 in the same period the last marketing year.
During the month, India was the most important consumer, receiving 12,446 MT. Algeria was the second most important consumer receiving 6,049 MT, followed by Colombia at 2,606 MT.
