Little Change in Mustard

PANAMA - Nov 1/19 - SNS -- Mustard seed markets were mostly unchanged in seasonal trading activity, with processors still assessing the quality of harvests in Canada and parts of the United States.

Though this year's harvest is virtually complete, a substantial portion of the crop experienced killing frosts. The impact depends on whether seeds were mature by the time that time. If not, fields would have a significant proportion of immature seeds, and the green color would be locked in.

There are few reports on this year's quality. But, many farmers have harvested an offgrade canola crop, with a relatively large proportion coming in green and damaged by several weeks of wet weather.
