Oil-type Sunflower Exports From Romania Maintain Easy Tone
PANAMA - Oct 17/19 - SNS -- So far during the calendar year kept up a softer tone, with oil-type sunflower export shipments for Romania plunged relative to the previous month in August, judging from official trade statistics from Eurostat.
Total movement during the month reached 9,396 metric tons (MT), down 75% from the previous month's total of 38,076. So far export sales have amounted to 659,738 MT, down from 819,029 in the same period the previous calendar year.
Turkey was the biggest buyer, buying 9,328 MT. Serbia was the second most important buyer receiving 65 MT, followed by Australia at 3 MT.
