Little Change in Mustard Market

PANAMA - Oct 11/19 - SNS -- Mustard seed markets were mainly unchanged in limited trading interest during the past week, with markets continuing to watch harvest progress in Canada.

Poor weather conditions prevented farmers from making much harvest progress during the week ending October 7, with just 58% of the crop in the bin, making this the slowest harvest on record. On average, 89% of Saskatchewan's mustard seed crop is in the bin the end of the first week of October.

Worries about the quality of that portion of the crop which remains in fields offset more optimistic yield forecasts from the provincial agriculture department.
