Canada's Lentil Exports Maintain Easy Trend
PANAMA - Oct 4/19 - SNS -- Canada's shipments of lentils during August sank compared to the previous month, judging from data from Statistics Canada.
Total exports for the month amounted to 114,360 metric tons (MT), down 40% from the previous month's total of 189,445. So far exports have totalled 114,360 MT, down from 158,743 during the last marketing year.
Current movement data showed India was largest importer, taking 46,953 MT for the month. Turkey was the second most important buyer buying 11,950 MT, followed by United Arab Emirates at 7,790 MT.
