Harvest Disaster Brewing in Canadian Chickpeas

PANAMA - Sep 27/19 - SNS -- Canada is looking at a probable harvest disaster for chickpeas because as rain and frost across the growing area.

As the week got underway, only 24% of the crop was in the bin in Saskatchewan, with 10% ready to straight combine and the remaining 66% still standing in fields at various stages of development.

Most areas are expecting rain mixed with snow through the middle of the coming week, with overnight temperatures dropping two to four degrees below freezing.
