Lentil Exports From Turkey Record Strong Oucome
PANAMA - Sep 16/19 - SNS -- At this point in this calendar year revealed a stronger result, with lentil export shipments from Turkey were up significantly, rising compared to the previous month in July, according to available statistics from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT).
Exports for the month totalled 13,053 metric tons (MT), up from 8,607 MT the previous month. This increased movement so far during the calendar year to 142,199, down 7% last year.
The latest movement data showed Sudan was biggest destination, receiving 4,406 MT. Saudi Arabia was the second most important consumer taking 1,144 MT, followed by Iraq at 999 MT.
