Mustard Harvest Looks Smaller Than Expected

PANAMA - Sep 14/19 - SNS -- Available supplies of mustard seed in North America will be down from last year if current yield and ending stock estimates prove accurate.

Statistics Canada pegged Canada's harvest at 141,200 metric tons (MT), while estimates by crop reporters in Saskatchewan suggest the potential for a 155,000 MT crop.

This is a significant change from what growers expected before this year's harvest got underway. Last month, Statistics Canada thought the harvest would reach 156,100 MT, down from 173,600 last season
